Why the big push for GMO's? It is our opinion that certain companies wish to further commoditize foods so that they will have a steady income stream from the consumer. Traditional wisdom dictates that if you give the consumer a fair choice they will choose the best product and value for them. However, in a "mafia" the idea is not to give the consumer a fair choice. Instead, the mafiosi want to force the consumer to do business with them. This can be done by eliminating the competition. GMO foods do just that by making sure that the intellectual property of the mafiosi is inadvertently mixed in and identifiable with the legitimate competition.
We feel that the companies who want to cash in on the GMO industry do so primarily to force the consumer into a "no choice" situation, the so called offer that can not be refused. The amount of money at stake is so huge that bribes, payoffs, black bag operations and other underhanded activities can take place.
The only way to have clean water and clean food guaranteed is if there is no profit potential. As in the case of any harmful enterprise such as drugs, bootlegging, conflict diamonds, etc. by making such items illegal or by forcing the consumer into a must have situation the authorities in charge of the world are in fact creating a very profitable business opportunity for certain groups. When the profit potential no longer exists the activity in question will disappear.
Please note that contrary to much press about how safe the EU is regarding GMO's the fact is that the EU does permit the use of GMO's for human consumption and animal feed. The only safeguard is that the GMO species must be approved by the EU first before it can be sold. We see two obvious loopholes in that 1. Just because the GMO is approved does not mean that it is safe. 2. The law is with regard to the sale of GMO's. However, if a food producer grew their own GMO for their own purposes such as feed of their animals it may not be for sale and thus within the law.
Our advice is to avoid all GMO's if possible. Below are a number of important articles about GMO's in the food chain. We admit that we are biased against GMO's. But when it comes to our health there can be no compromise. There is no debate. The integrity of our food and water are basic and not for debate.
