You Need the Sun



In keeping with our desire to promote brain health, we have two following strategies previously mentioned in other article:
  • Eat unprocessed (fresh) vegetables
  • Avoid grains which contain Lectins which lead to degenerative diseases
A third strategy is to use Sunlight.  The notion that one should stay out of the Sun by using Sunblock, Sunscreen and staying indoors is faulty health advice.  The Sun is probably one of the best sources of health supplementation available.  And it is free.  Perhaps this is why it is not generally prescribed?

The Sun is a nutritional supplement.  It activates nutrients in the body.  The Sun produces what is known as a "Photo-electric effect".  It is the relationship between light and electricity and the body.  Albert Einstein showed that light can be converted to electricity.  He won the Noble Prize for this discovery.   The relationship between Sunlight and health has tremendous implications.  Light from the Sun is converted into electricity in the body.  We are electrical beings.  Health is electricity.  Disease is a breakdown in electrical energy in the body.  Conversion of light to electricity in the body takes place in the skin.  The skin is a biological solar panel.  The skin uses the sunlight to make things happen in the body.  Are Sunscreens and blocks really appropriate?

Sunscreens are toxic chemicals.  The idea of using toxic substances to "protect" the skin from the sun is ludicrous.  We need solar electricity to make the body function properly.  Breakdown in the body is a breakdown in the electrical process in the body.  The Sun is your strongest source of electrical energy.  When you are sick you have less electrical energy.  Ultimately, all electrical energy comes from the Sun.  The sun means health, growth, repair and life.

The Sun can be used to curb your appetite.  The SP6 patch works by trapping solar energy to reduce cravings for food.  Bright light exposure has been used to successfully to treat people who overeat.  The Sun up-regulates satisfaction chemistry.  In other words, the Sun leads to activation of satiety in the brain and therefore, cravings are reduced.  The person in the Sun feels joy, satisfaction and fullness.The biochemistry of alertness and Serotonin are all tied to the Sun.  If you want to diminish your Serotonin levels then don't go out in the Sun.  And because Serotonin is converted in to Melatonin an anti-aging, rest, relax, heal and growth hormone Melatonin will be diminished as well.

Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) is one of the drawbacks to not getting enough Sunlight.  It is a manifestation of Serotonin deficiency.  Vitamin D is solar activated Cholesterol.  The Sun is also responsible for a biochemical process called "Sulfation".  Sulfation is a chemical reaction that occurs when Sulfur which is stored in the skin, scalp and hair and the Sun interact.  In order for this reaction to take place there must be enough Sulfur in the diet which is becoming more and more difficult to do since soil are often depleted of Sulfur.  MSM and Sulfur containing foods are a good way to increase Sulfur intake.  Cartilage, bone soup, eggs, onions and garlic contain good amounts of Sulfur.

Sunlight activates Serotonin production in the brain.  The use of sunglasses and avoiding sunlight deprives the body of self made Serotonin.  People in areas that may not have as much Sunlight as require can use a sunlamp or a verilux.com is a good source of sunlamps.
