Estrogen is a stress hormone. This family of hormones can affect every aspect of our health.  In the body only a few drops of Estrogen are made.  However, those few drops act as the controllers for thousands of bodily functions. If you create an imbalance of hormones there will be malfunctions in the cells of the body.  Now, pay attention.  If you want to learn how to reverse chronic illness, maintain mental agility, avoid obesity, keep your sexual health vibrant you had better understand these simple health strategies.  If this information sounds confusing that is because it is rarely touched upon by the mainstream information sources.

Estrogen is in the environment around us in plants and synthetics.  Plus your body makes it.  If you want to retain your health you must learn how to cope with too much estrogen in your environment and counteract its effects.  Otherwise, you run the risk of being overwhelmed by all sorts of illnesses and conditions including: migraines, hot flashes, man boobs, obesity, excessive cell growth, fibromyalgia, digestive problems, cancer, inflammation, high blood pressure, heart problems, acne, hair loss, and more.

The front line defense against too much estrogen is Vitamin E (mixed mixed Tocopherols and Tocotrienols).  According to research conducted by Dr. Barrie Tan, an advisor to Kyani, one should never take Tocopherols and Tocotrienols together because they tend to cancel each other out.  See the "white paper" at this blog about that.  Of the two forms of Vitamin E the Tocopherols are derived from animals and the Tocotrienols are derived from plants.  Tocotrienols are far more active than Tocopherols and are more useful than the Tocopherols in protecting you from cellular damage.  Both forms of Vitamin E come in Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma structures.  That means that the Tocopherols and Tocotrienols have 8 forms all together.  Of those 8 forms Delta and Gamma Tocotrienols are the most beneficial to the body with Delta being the most protective form of all.  The Kyani "Sunset" product which is derived from the Anatto Bush is made with 100% Delta Tocotrienols.

No element is more effective in the remediation of too much estrogen than iodine.  Iodine is especially helpful in reducing Estrogen in the breasts.  For this reason women in Japan have a low incidence of Breast Cancer.  Japanese people get 10 times more iodine on a daily basis than Americans.  Iodine has successfully been used to treat Fibrocystic Breast Disease.  There is also evidence in the medical literature that supports the effectiveness of iodine to protect against Breast Cancer as well as all Cancers.

Iodine has been used to treat Fibromyalgia.  According to Dr. Jonathan Wright Estrogen plays an important role in helping the body maintain a proper hormone balance.  This balance is not only important in women but men as well. Estrogen is implicated in Prostate health and in the protection against Prostate Cancer.  

Estrogen dependence and Iodine Deficiency illnesses are on the rise.  Despite the obvious correlation between Estrogen and iodine deficiency there is much dispute between those who decide the "minimum daily recommended dosage for iodine" and researchers and clinicians who estimate the amount needed to be as much as 100 times more than the published minimum daily requirement.

Iodine is easily leached out of the soil.   That means that if you do not live near an Ocean or eat a lot of seafood or are supplementing you are most likely deficient in iodine.  One of the most misunderstood matters is the notion that Iodine is required solely for the functioning of the Thyroid.  In fact, there are many critical roles that Iodine plays in the body.

Iodine is critical for mental function.   According to researchers writing for the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Iodine Deficiency can prevent children from attaining their full intellectual potential.  According to the World Health Organization over one third of the children on the planet are Deficient in Iodine.  Iodine Deficiency in adults can lower IQ's by as much as as 15%.

Iodine protects against Bromine absorption.  Bromine is toxic.  It is found in pools, hot tubs, disinfectants, fire retardants, mattresses, carpets, clothing, furniture, electronics, bleached foods, cereals, breads, pastas carbonated drinks and more.  The problem is that Bromine has a similar structure to iodine chemically speaking.  Therefore, if you are deficient in iodine your body may take in Bromine more readily as a substitute for Iodine.   Where as Iodine is beneficial to the body, Bromine is toxic. By making sure that the body has enough iodine the body is protected from inadvertent Bromine.

Fluoride poses a similar problem to the body as Bromine.  That is its molecular structure is similar to Iodine and can either be readily absorbed as a replacement to Iodine or adequate levels of iodine will lessen the chances of its harmful absorption.  Iodine will protect the body to a certain extent from Fluoride absorption.  The Thyroid and the Pineal Gland are both particularly vulnerable to Fluoride absorption.

SSKI or Lugol's solution are effective sources of Iodine and require a prescription.  

Alternatively, you may buy "Ioderol" over the counter. N.B.   As with all minerals if you have any fat malabsorption issues you will not be able to absorb Iodine or other minerals such as Zinc, Strontium, Selenium, Magnesium, Calcium, etc. The same is true if you have had your gall bladder removed, a history of gall stones, liver health issues, pancreatic issues.  If you are diabetic, have intestinal problems like Crohns Disease, Celiac Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome you may have trouble absorbing fats.  (Be sure to consult with a qualified health professional if you have any of these symptoms and before taking any supplements.)  If you are not absorbing fats you will not be able to effectively absorb minerals.  This means you will not be able to absorb iodine.  Symptoms of fat absorption problems are: if you are uncomfortable in any way after eating fatty meals, if you have gas, bloating, nausea, burping, cramping, GERD, indigestion, heart burn, constipation, diarrhea, etc.

What is Iodine? Why do we need it? How much do we need?


Iodine may just be the most overlooked mineral, yet its importance to overall health and well being cannot be overstated. Iodine is critical for the formation of thyroid hormone in the thyroid gland. When your thyroid suffers, so does the rest of your body. A major connection exists between low thyroid and low adrenal. Low adrenal, also called adrenal insufficiency, can actually cause someone's thyroid problem to be much worse than it would be otherwise.
 
Why many people are iodine deficient

First of all, most of us don’t consume enough iodine. On top of that, we consume many substances that block iodine absorption in our body. There are halogens in our water including fluoride, chlorine, and perchlorate (rocket fuel). Goitrogens also block iodine uptake. There are some notable goitrogens in our food supply. One of them is bromide which is in most commercial bread, as well as some soft drinks (Mountain Dew for example). One of the biggest goitrogens in our food supply (and it’s everywhere in our food supply) is soy. Soybean oil is in salad dressing and mayonnaise. It’s in commercial baby formula. It’s in almost all packaged cakes, candies chips, and crackers. And pretty much every meal you eat at a restaurant cooks their food in soybean oil. Not only that, but most of the cows, poultry and pigs in this country are fed a diet of industrial corn and soybeans. So even if you think you’re not eating lots of soy, you probably are". Health conscious people expect conventional produce to be grown in soils deficient in essential minerals. They may be surprised to find out that organic produce is also often lacking sufficient amounts of iodine.


Iodine has many actions in the body

A shortage of iodine can cause changes to the thyroid gland that directly lead to poor function of metabolism and immunity. Iodine deficiency promotes free radical damage in the thyroid gland that puts the gland itself at risk. Iodine blocks various compounds from binding to and accumulating in the thyroid gland, such as fluoride, perchlorate, and goitrogens. Environmental pollution significantly aggravates an iodine lack and displaces iodine in the body.

Iodine is in high concentration in the ovaries and breast tissue, acting as a buffer to the growth stimulating effects of estrogen and as a promoter of proper estrogen metabolism. Iodine assists the functioning of hormone receptors throughout the body, helping hormones communicate more effectively. Thyroid hormone governs the rate of other hormone formation, and thus governs sexual function.

Iodine is essential for proper brain development and cognitive ability. There have been many studies showing the importance of iodine during gestation when cognitive potential is formed. A mother with adequate iodine levels will be more likely to produce a child with superior brain development.



Therapeutic Uses of Iodine Prior to World War II and Different Forms of Iodine

    Dr. Abraham started this Iodine Project around 1998 when he became aware of the many benefits of treating patients with iodine using doses far beyond the 2 mg a day, which most physicians consider to be potentially toxic. He noted that starting in the 1820s, the French physician Jean Lugol used these higher doses to treat a wide variety of conditions. Dr. Lugol combined elemental iodine (5 %) and potassium iodide (10%) with 85 % water. Since iodine kills infectious agents, Dr. Lugol successfully treated many infectious conditions with this solution, which became known as Lugol’s solution, and which is still available today by prescription. Prior to World War II, many American and European physicians used Lugol’s solution to treat thyroid conditions, using doses higher than 2 mg daily without apparent significant adverse effects. 

             Dr. Abraham notes that research has shown that the thyroid gland prefers to utilize the iodide form of iodine, while other organs, such as the breast and ovaries, prefer the elemental form of iodine. Both of these forms are present in Lugol’s solution and in the preparations discussed below. After World War II, the use of Lugol’s solution came to a grinding halt due to the publication of the Wolff-Chaikoff paper mentioned above and for other reasons discussed in Abraham’s papers. Dr. Abraham then suggests that the disease known as “Iodophobia” developed, which he describes as the irrational fear of prescribing iodine in dosages that had previously been used successfully by physicians for decades.  He points out in his preface to Dr. David Brownstein’s book Iodine: Why You Need It; Why You Can’t Live Without It: 

     “Of all the elements known so far to be essential for human health, iodine is the most misunderstood and the most feared. Yet, iodine is the safest of all the essential trace elements, being the only one that can be administered safely for long periods of time to large numbers of patients in daily amounts as high as 100,000 times the RDA. However, this safety record only applies to inorganic, nonradioactive forms of iodine.  Some organic iodine containing drugs are extremely toxic and prescribed by physicians. The severe side effects of these drugs are blamed on inorganic iodine although studies have clearly demonstrated that it is the whole molecule that is toxic, not the iodine released from it.”

Recent research documents the importance of proper iodine levels

A study reported in the September edition of Endocrine Review noted that iodine is critical for the biological effects mediated by thyroid hormone. Iodine containing enzymes important to the action of the thyroid were also found to increase or decrease thyroid hormone signaling in a tissue-and temporal-specific fashion, independently of changes in thyroid hormone serum concentrations. It was clear to the researchers that these enzymes play a much broader role than was once thought, with great ramifications for the control of thyroid hormone signaling during vertebrate development and metamorphosis, as well as injury response, tissue repair, hypothalamic function, and energy homeostasis in adults.

The September 3 edition of Cancer Causes and Control reports a review of literature focused on risk factors for thyroid cancer. The researchers found that at present, the only recognized measures for reducing thyroid cancer risk are avoiding ionizing radiation and iodine deficiency, particularly in children and young women.

The European Journal of Nutrition, August edition, reports it widely accepted that the rapid rate of growth of the brain during the last third of gestation and the early postnatal stage makes it vulnerable to an inadequate diet. A deficiency of iodine during this critical period in brain development is associated with reduced intellectual ability.

The August 12 edition of Medical Hypotheses reports the World Health organization showing iodine deficiency to be a worldwide health problem. As iodine status is based in median urinary iodine excretion, even in countries regarded as iodine sufficient, a considerable part of the population may be iodine deficient. Iodine deficiency traditionally results in hypothyroidism, goiter, and cretinism. Researchers hypothesized that iodine deficiency may also give rise to subtle impairment of thyroid function leading to clinical syndromes resembling hypothyroidism or diseases that have been associated with the occurrence of hypothyroidism. They described several clinical conditions suspected to be linked to iodine deficiency, including obesity, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychiatric disorders, fibromyalgia, and malignancies.

Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, August 6, reports that the trace elements iodine and selenium are essential for thyroid gland functioning and thyroid hormone biosynthesis and metabolism. While iodine is needed as the eponymous constituent of the two major thyroid hormones T3 and T4, selenium is essential for the biosynthesis and function of small numbers of selenocysteine containing enzymes that control thyroid hormone turnover.

The August 1 edition of Lancet reports that 2 billion individuals worldwide have insufficient iodine intake, producing adverse effects on growth and development due to inadequate production of thyroid hormone. Iodine deficiency is the most common cause of preventable mental impairment worldwide. The researchers recommended iodine supplements be used to remediate deficiency.

The Alternative Medicine Review, June edition, reports that iodine deficiency is critical in pregnancy due to the consequences for neurological damage during fetal development as well as during lactation. The safety of therapeutic doses of iodine above the established safe upper limit of 1 mg is evident in the lack of toxicity in the Japanese population that consumes 25 times the median intake of iodine consumption in the United States. Japan's population suffers no demonstrable increased incidence of autoimmune thyroiditis or hypothyroidism. Studies using 3.0 to 6.0 mg doses to effectively treat fibrocystic breast disease may reveal an important role for iodine in maintaining normal breast tissue architecture and function. Iodine may also have important antioxidant functions in breast tissue and other tissues that concentrate iodine via the sodium iodide supporter.

Determining iodine deficiency and proper dosage

Due to the fact that iodine deficiency can have serious consequences, it is important for people to use iodine supplementation if they are not regularly getting adequate amounts from food. Good food sources of iodine are dairy products produced from cattle fed iodine-supplemented feed and salt licks, seafood, saltwater fish, seaweed, and kelp. It may also be found in asparagus, garlic, lima beans, mushrooms, sesame seed, spinach, chard, and summer squash. Some foods block the uptake of iodine into the thyroid gland when eaten raw in large amounts, such as cabbage, kale, peaches, pears and spinach. Though you may try to get a high enough iodine intake from eating the foods listed above, due to the mineral depletion of soil, content of mercury in sea products and the fact that you need 12.5mg per day you should consider iodine supplementation. Pregnant women, the elderly and adolescents are more predisposed to iodine deficiency. More women than men are short on iodine. In addition to low thyroid functioning, symptoms of iodine deficiency include depression, weight gain/loss(in cases of hyper), weak heartbeat/ rapid heartbeat(hyper), extreme dry hair and skin, swelling of the legs, decreased ability to concentrate, muscle cramps, puffiness or swelling of the eyes, insensitivity to light (adrenal), insatiable appetite for sweets or salts(adrenal), and chronic aches and pains. Fatigue is a common symptom, characterized by the urge to fall asleep when not active. Hypersensitivity to cold, or cold hands and feet is another frequently reported symptom. Expert: More Iodine Is Better

"Iodine Nutrition -- More Is Better," is the title of an editorial accompanying the Teng study. Editorialist Robert D. Utiger, MD, is a thyroid expert at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Utiger says that Teng and colleagues' conclusions are overcautious.

"Low iodine intake is more worrisome than the slight risk at the higher levels of intake," Utiger tells WebMD. "To eliminate iodine deficiency even in a small percentage of the population, the intake for the whole population has to be high. I am willing to pay the price of a few cases of mild symptoms at the high end to get a reduction in the very severe consequences at the low end."

To recap, Estrogen is produced in the body.  Estrogen is not just one hormone but a family of hormones.  There are over 20 forms of Estrogen in the human body. Excess Estrogen can be produced due to stress both psychological and physical. Estrogen is in our environment.  It is in our food.  The body makes it.  People who take contraceptives are taking Estrogen.  There is no way to get away from it.  Too much Estrogen must be counteracted otherwise the consequences can be dire.

Hormones regulate every function of the body.  Whether big movements like movement of arms and legs or small movements like the opening and closing of blood vessels, hormones regulate the entire system. As the body is in an ever changing environment so must the body be able to adjust to variations in temperature, humidity, acidity, oxygen, food conditions and more.  Hormones are the key substances that allow this adjusting to happen.  While they can be extremely beneficial they can also be misused to cause trouble.

Basically, hormones act in opposition to each other.  This is apparent in the Serotonin / Melatonin link, the Glucogon versus Insulin link, Cortisol a stress hormone versus all growth, repair and healing hormones, etc.

Likewise Estrogen the anti-pregnancy hormone is opposed by Progesterone. Progesterone is the hormone of pregnancy. It is generally believed that estrogen is the hormone of youth. In actual fact, Progesterone is the hormone of youth. Not only does Progesterone counter the contaceptive effects of estrogen but it actually reverses the negative effects of estrogen in the body such as anxiety, insomnia, acne, heart problems, obesity, cancers, uncontrolled cell growth, hot flashes, .

For example: estrogen turns on the growth of breast tissue, cysts, fibroids and tumors.  Progesterone calms down breast tissue growth.  It protects against fibroids and tumors.  In the European Journal of Cancer, Progesterone was shown to inhibit the growth of Breast Cancer cells and increase the incidence of spontaneous cancer cell apoptosis. 

"Progesterone encourages cell apoptosis".  According to Dr. Neal Rousier, author of "Progesterone and Cancer" the highest breast protection against cancer is at the end of pregnancy when Progesterone secretion is at its maximum level... 
  
Progesterone is not very toxic.  It is gentle to the body.  Estrogen has serious toxicity problems.   Anyone dealing with excess Estrogen, people who have digestive problems, gall bladder removal, gall stones, liver problems, intestinal problems, etc. may have trouble eliminating Estrogen from the body.  For those persons Progesterone may be very beneficial.  Every estrogenic problem can be balanced out through Progesterone.

Progesterone will act in opposition to any of the effects of Estrogen.  Where as Estrogen promotes fat gain, Progresterone reduces fat gain.  Along with Testosterone, Progesterone is one of the most important fat loss hormones the body makes.  Estrogen increases water retention and salt retention.  Progesterone is a diuretic.   Progesterone helps the body process salt.  Estrogen reduces the production of Thyroid Hormone.  Progesterone can facilitate the action of the Thyroid.  A poorly functioning Thyroid can lead to poor circulation and cold hands and feet.  Progesterone is one of the most thermogenic chemicals the body makes.  It increases metabolism, improves circulation and reduces blood clotting.  It helps thin the blood.   Estrogen is anti-libido.  Progesterone stimulates sexual functions and increases sexual desire.

Estrogen makes it more difficult to control blood sugar.  The insulin response becomes compromised.  As a result the body pumps out more insulin leading to type 2 Diabetes.  The higher the Estrogen the higher the insulin production and the less effective insulin will be.  Excess Estrogen not only predisposes you to diabetes but it can lead to insulin resistance, cancer and heart disease not to mention the damage caused by sugar in the blood to the blood vessels, brain and other organs.

Estrogen also causes the loss of zinc.  If the Zinc levels go down the Copper in the body will tend to go up.  Zinc is involved in hundreds of functions in the body especially handling blood sugar, and hormonal balance.  Zinc is important for the immune system.  Loss of Zinc accelerates the aging process, causes wrinkles, dark spots, etc.  Zinc loss can also lead to Osteoporosis.

On the other hand Progesterone supports the activity of insulin so that the body does not have to make as much.  It helps the body retain Zinc.  Because of this Progesterone can help improve the aging process and reduce the likelihood of age related diseases.

According to Dr. Joel Wallach humans should be able to have a life expectancy of 120 years on average.  To achieve this you must be able to keep the body healthy by eating the 90 essential vitamins and minerals, Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's), healthy fats and proteins, probiotics and stay away from foods that kill.  Those foods are manufactured foods, tainted foods, toxic substances, additivies and so on.  You must also move or exercise and breathe.  You must keep the body hydrated with clean water not filled with chemicals, drugs and so called purified to make it "safe".  It is that simple.

But as you know there are those who have polluted almost every aspect of our lives.  They have poisoned our food, tainted our water and toxified our air.  All supposedly to make it "safe" for us.  Milk from cows is not "safe" to drink?  According to some, mostly the dairy industry, it must be made safe by killing it first.  Food is not food any more.   It is chemicals designed to look, smell and taste like food.  Water is not water.  Again it is chemicals designed to look like water but actually a cocktail of chemicals.  I could go on.  The fact is you live in an artificial world designed to look like the TV version of a real world.  The net result is illness.

And whatever you do do not go out to a restaurant.  Even the best restaurants in town will feed you slop disguised as foreign specialties.  They will be laden with gluten, grain flour, artificial sweeteners, GMO veggies and microwaved.  And for that you will pay to have a fat smiling chef appear as if he has gifted you the best meal in the world.  It is through no malice of his own but out of shear ignorance.  The wine will have additives and pesticides added,  The salt will be from polluted waters.  The seafood will be most likely farmed and filled with growth hormones, antibiotics and spritzed with a deodorant.  And the dessert will be a diabetics nightmare and laced with GMO sugar beets. You get the picture.

Added to this deadly life shortening mix is the way our minds and our sense of reality have been so distorted.  Specifically, recently a young woman came to work for the World Health Team.  She said she had applied because she needed a job.  She was told about all the wonderful benefits of the products we represent and how they help people.  We explained about the body and how it works, what it needs to be healthy and then how people around the world were dying prematurely of disease.

On the second interview we wanted to learn more about her.  We were astonished to find out that she and her partner had never been ill in their lives and that no one in her family had ever been ill or obese.  The sad reality is that today this is not possible unless you grow your own food and live far away from pollution and other life shortening behaviors.  It was at that point that we realized that the applicant was living in a dream world.  A world where no one is sick even if they drink diet beverages, chew aspartame laden gum, eat gluten in their foods and consume lots of pasta and potatoes.  A world where she could eat GMO foods and suffer no consequences.

Sadly, that 30 year old woman although nice in every way was not qualified as a candidate to work here.  We gain nothing by pretending that the TV dominated world we live in is real.  A trip to the local beach proves this.  We can easily see on any given sunny day just how ill our population is.  The board walk is filled with the walking wounded of the TV.  Despite our having the means to help many recover from their health challenges we are prevented from making  claims and challenging the status quo.  This provision of the law is supposed to protect you from money hungry snake oil salesmen.  In fact, often those laws leave you as easy prey wide open to having no choice other than theirs.  While we have the means to greatly improve the health of our own family and friends many of them were still believing in TV reality at the time of their deaths and were either unwilling or unable to rethink their health strategies.

Companies and governments do not spend Trillions of dollars to persuade you to accept an idea for no reason.  They know precisely why their brand of "facts" are not self evident.   What they can not persuade you to do voluntarily must be imposed.  What can not be imposed must be forced.  A healthy life does not have to be persuaded, imposed, forced or legislated.  It is self evident.

Unfortunately, there are many who deny or do not know the truth and would rather have their choices made for them.  But why do these same folks insist on imposing their ignorance on others? Those of us who choose a different path are ridiculed and attempts are made to not only shut us up and ignore us but to force us to accept what we find as unacceptable. At some point it becomes clear that the health movement is about freedom.  The freedom to choose what we eat and what we put into our bodies.  The powers that be do not want us to have a choice because then it would become self evident what is health and what is not.

There are laws protecting the right to die, the right to medical care, the right to smoke or drink.  But where are the laws protecting the right to eat what you want?  If you want raw milk why can you not find it?  if you want clean drinking water why is it not allowed?  If you want non-GMO crops why can't it be labeled?  We are told that companies and organizations want to protect us.  Why do we need protecting?  Would it not be self evident what was healthy and what was not and the people could make up their own minds?

We know the answers to these questions.  We do not like the answers that we come up with.  But if we are not willing to face where those answers lead we become like the job applicant woman, in a total state of denial.  We end up living in a false world based on lies.  Lies will not come to your rescue when you are faced with death.  You will want cold hard facts so that you can make informed choices.

Let's face it.  The "kill shot" has already been delivered.  The majority of the public are not aware of it.  They are already dead, they just don't know it.  The real question is what can we do to counteract that kill shot.  There is plenty that we can do.  But we must be proactive.  I wished someone had informed me of my choices before I ended up in that hospital bed.

Men, Get the Lace Off Your Bra - Estrogen (Part 1)

Estrogen is a stress management hormone. Men can make about as much Estrogen as women.  Men can make up to 55 picograms per mililiter of Estrodiol.  Women can make up to 60 picograms per mililiter of Estrodiol when they begin their menstral cycle rising to 300 to 400 picograms per mililiter as their menstral cycle progresses.  Thats about a quarter of a teaspoon of Estrogen in the whole bodily volume of blood.  On average men and women produce about the same amount of Estrogen. This tiny amount of Estrogen can have an enorrmous impact on health.

It would be wise to think carefully about exposing yourself to Estrogen at any level.  Estrogen is similar to Cortisol, Adrenalin or Prolactin which is associated with helping women produce milk when they have had a baby. Estrogen is associated with inflammation, migraine headaches, hypertension, anxiety, autoimmune disease, clotting and activation of the Immune System.  Estrogen is a known carcinogen.  It can suppress growth and repair of the body.  It can interrupt reproduction.  It will cause emotional and mental problems.  It will slow down the thyroid.  Estrogen is one of the main causes of Hypothyroidism which is the third point in the "Triangle of Disease" which means it can lead to every other disease including Cancer and in particular Breast Cancer and Heart Disease.  It also leads to a breakdown in collagen and connective tissue.

Estrogen is processed by the liver.  If you have any liver problems, gallbladder problems or an intestinal problem or have had your gallbladder removed your risk for Estrogenic toxicity is increased significantly.  One out of three adults has "Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease".    Further, since probiotics or good bacteria in the gut play such an important role they will be critical if you are dealing with any kind of an Estrogenic problem.  Probiotics help detoxify Estrogen if you have a problem with your gut and if you have SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) caused by consuming too much sugar and fructose.

Indications of Estrogen Dominance is if you have a round bottom, thick hair, large breasts and large hips, If you are a man and have a lot of fat around the pectoral muscles your odds for Estrogenic problems increase. This can have serious consequences.

As if this were not enough to worry about, Estrogen will make you fat.  Up to 2/3 of the 30 Million head of cattle in the U.S. are fattend with illegal doses of Estrogen.  Yet there are 30 million prescriptions issued in America per year for Estrogen therapies.  That is over 2 Billion Dollars in America alone associated with the of Estrogen product sales.  Estrogen is big business. But its consequences can be devastating for the individual.

Estrogen is made in fat cells and Estrogen will make fat cells.  If you are dealing with health issues that are associated with Estrogen such as Breast Cancer, Uterine Cancer and Prostate Cancer your number one move against the disease is to lose  body fat.    Body fat is an Estrogen producing factory.  The more body fat you have the more Estrogen you are making.  

If you are having problems in the bedroom Estrogenicity is one of the main reasons why sexual performance and desire is reduced.  Nothing will make a man less sexual, less manly, less viral than excess Estrogen. The same is true of women who lose their sexual vigor or libido as they age.  Estrogen levels rise as people get older regardless.  If you are carrying around a lot of body fat, eating soy products, using plastic bottles and containers, eating meats and fish that have hormones added to increase their sizes, if you eat a lot of processed food, legumes, beans, peanuts, milk from cows which were given hormones or hormone laden water you could be exposing yourself to harmful levels of Estrogen.

Before the 1960's Estrogen was respected as a very powerful stress hormone.  It was associated with disease.  But then in the 1960's a book was released call "Feminine Forever" by Dr. Robert Wilson.  He made the case for Estrogen as a "Youth Hormone".  Published in 1962,  Dr. Wilson hypothesized that the pharmaceutical use of Estrogen could completely eliminate the pains and discomforts associated with Menopause.  Dr. Wilson called Menopause a disease.  He thought that Estrogen was the cure for the disease.  Dr. Wilson based his claim on one single study that was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association which involved 300 women.  Dr. Wilson also neglected to reveal that he was on the payroll of and funded by the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer which gained to profit tremendously from the sale of Estrogen medications.

Estrogen is intimately involved with bodily responses to stress such as vasodilation as in the case of Rosecia in the skin, the vasodilation in the head causing migraine headaches, the vasoconstriction causing high blood pressure, the hyper-activation of the immune system, the activation of the inflammatory system that can lead to blood clotting, fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases and even Cancer.  These maladies are all associated with the excess secretion of Estrogen.

Estrogen is an important emergency stress hormone.  It is great for short term management of stress.  But in the long term exposure to elevated levels of Estrogen is just as dangerous as long term exposure to Cortisol or any other stress hormone.  Stress hormones are designed to keep the body functioning during a survival threat.  In an emergency they will allow for an increase in energy and all the energy producing systems in the body.  But in the long term they will suppress growth, suppress repair and reproduction.  That is why Estrogen is used as a contraceptive. When the reproductive system is under the command of a stress hormone fertility will be decreased.  If a woman is trying to become pregnant but can't, chances are that she is dealing with elevated stress hormones.

When the body goes into stress mode and stress hormones are released wild excessive growth and storage of fats can be the results as in cancer and obesity.  Insulin is also a hormone.  When excessive amounts of insulin are introduced into the body perhaps due to too much fast burning carbohydrates like potatoes, rice, grains, pasta, corn and sugar this can lead to a weakening of the pancreas, growth of wild disorganized cells, inflammation, obesity and the failure of the body to respond to the hormone, as in the case of Type 2 Diabetes, among other things.

There is just one kind of Cortisol and Adrenalin.  But there are multiple forms of Estrogen. In fact, Estrogen is actually a family of chemicals all of which have a chemical shape.  Chemicals are about the shape.  In the same way a key must have a certain shape to fit a lock, so do chemicals have to have a certain shape to unlock certain bodily functions.  In nature there are lots of chemical "keys" that have an Estrogenic shape.  For example there is a chemical found in nature called "Isoflavones".  Isoflavones are Estrogenic.  They have an Estrogen like shape.  They therefore, can stimulate an Estrogen response in the body.  Isoflavones are found in beans, legumes, nuts, seeds and peanuts as well as berries.  In other words eating peanuts can increase the Estrogen activity and stress responses in the body.

Many plants use this Estrogen shape (phyto-estrogens) as a defense against predators.   Animals that eat Isoflavones in plants will not grow, repair or reproduce.  Plants use phyto-estrogens for chemical warfare and they are found in everything from flax seeds to collard greens.  Phyto-estrogens have their proper place in our diets.  But the cumulative effect of too much Estrogen can be harmful.

If you are dealing with an Estrogen issue you will want to be careful about consuming foods that contain high levels of these Estrogenic compounds.   Not only are phyto-estrogens found throughout nature there are many artificial chemicals that mimic Estrogen too. Estrogen mimicers are found in lots of plastics for example that use the same chemical key.  Bisphenol A (BPA) is one such plastic that utilizes artificial estrogen.  Plastic wraps, plastic bottles and plastic packaging are sources of the compounds known as xenoestrogen.  . Xenoestrogens are found in skin care products, as well as sun screens.  This is why you should never use a chemical sun screen. (Distinct from sunscreens are sun blocks).  Many preservatives such as paraben are also based on xenoestrogens.   Fragrances are xenoestrogenic. 

People also voluntarily expose themselves to Estrogen through birth control pills and other prescription drugs.  People use hormone replacement therapy.  Even tap water may contain excreted Estrogen.

Initially, Estrogen will cause cells to function at a higher rate.  But over time this excess artificial stimulation will result in oxygen deprivation which means cell suffocation.  Cell suffocation is one of the four deadly behaviors for a cell.  The other three are: Toxification, Starvation and Dehydration.  The suffocation of the cells will lead to death of the cell or the cell will divide and grow wildly out of control.      Anytime there is uncontrolled growth you must consider the possibility that excess Estrogen is present.

It also turns out that many signs of aging such as hyper pigmentation, formation of blood clots, formation of fibroids, inflammation and immune system imbalances are the exact same signs of excess Estrogen.  A case could be made that Estrogen, in addition to being a stress hormone may also be an aging hormone.

The nutrients that will protect you from Estrogen will not only protect women but men too. Estrogenicity is a male problem as much as it is a female problem.  It causes feminization in men, impotence, even prostate cancer.     Weight gain is another Estrogenic issue.  What are the nutritional strategies that can be used to protect men and women from Estrogen exposure.   re are a number of natural nutritional things you can do to protect yourself from excess Estrogen:
  1. Vitamin E (mixed Tocopherols) - It protects the membranes of cells among other things.  All disease is cell disease.  Keeping the Cell Membrane intact is very important to health. Vitamin neutralizes cancer causing agents.  This is especially important for the skin, the heart, the brain, the liver, the breasts, the prostate.  Vitamin E protects against excitotoxins.  Vitamin E promotes fertility.  It is Anti-Estrogenic, Anti-oxidant, Anti-Cancer,  Vitamin E is not easy to get from food.  You must supplement.  Kyani Sunset is an excellent source of Tocotrienols.  You need 400 IU of vitamin E per day according to Pharmacist Ben Fuchs.  Vitamin E should be taken with fats, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Selenium.  They work together.

Healing After Chronic Illness



When I was in a Spanish hospital paralyzed after having a stroke I made a deal with God that if he would allow me to recover I would do everything in my power to help people.  Well it turns out that God does have a sense of humor and now I have to deliver on my end.  Here I am two years later having my "bluff" called.

The point of this article is that you certainly can recover from chronic illness.  Sure there are a few mechanical problems that can not be corrected merely by changing your diet.  But the honest truth is that your body is self correcting.  All we have to do is give it the stuff it needs and avoid the stuff that damages it.

First, let me dispel a few myths.  When a doctor tells you that you have cancer, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, heart failure, diabetes, neuropathy, high blood pressure, psoriasis, osteoporosis, arthritis, arteriolsclerosis, fibromyalgia, asthma, nail fungus or any other chronic illness these are all the same disease from our point of view.  A stroke in and of itself does not happen one day.  A heart attack does not happen one day.  Cancer does not happen one day.  We are all marching down the road towards either degenerative disease or marching away from these diagnosis.  What Ben Fuchs refers to as either "net build up or net breakdown".

Case in point.  At some point your doctor will check your blood sugar.  If it is within norms he will proclaim you to be O.K.  If you have too much sugar in your blood he will proclaim you to be diabetic.  I am particularly speaking to my British readers because so many of you are obese and unhealthy.  How do I know?  Because I see you on holiday on the Spanish coast every day.  And no one is being mislead more than British women about their health.  This is not to say that my American brothers and sisters do not have a health problem.  My God, Americans are the most unhealthy misinformed people on the planet.  But I attended university in England where I developed an affection for the British people whom I saw as a vibrant healthy people and I can not help but to notice the decline of the British population in terms of health, attitude, emotions and mind.  I mean Roger Banister was British wasn't he?  Today, my children have friends that can not walk one block without tripping over their own feet.

But I digress.  The point is that long before you receive the diagnosis you are already on the road towards Diabetes.  Only the doctors will not tell you.  Instead they will mislead you into thinking that you are O.K.  What they will not do is tell you that you need to lose weight, change your diet, stop eating junk and processed food, go for a walk everyday and so on.  This habit of allowing you to corrupt yourself is nothing less than pure evil.  Part of this evil approach is to prescribe useless medicines knowing full well that eventually you will die from ignorance.  You would think that you are much better now that you are taking the medicine and continue the same lifestyle that made you fat or sick or emotionally and mentally dysfunctional in the first place.

Look at my own family.  My Dad died of Diabetes.  His mother died of Diabetes.  My Mother's Grandmother died of Diabetes, My aunt died of Colon Cancer.  My uncle died of Stroke.  My Grandmother died of Colon Cancer.  Another uncle died of Colon Cancer.  I do not have Diabetes but I was in a pre-Diabetic state and the doctor told me that my blood sugar was fine.  A dear friend of mine was out shoveling snow and dropped dead of a Heart Attack.  He had just had a check up with his doctor the day before.

I won't bore you with the gory details of each of my family member's cases.  How they were led down the garden path, given loads of medications.  Had corrective surgeries.  Told how they were O.K. and then died of so called complications.  The doctors will tell you that this is a "mystery".  I am here to tell you there is no mystery.  My family and yours died because they were ignorant.  Plain and simple.  They were misinformed, listened to the propaganda on the telly, trusted people who make their living from misinforming people who then mysteriously died prematurely.  That includes my 99 year old Grandmother.

My Grandmother was from Panama.  She had immigrated there with her husband from Barbados.  She had never been to a doctor or a hospital in her life.  She had never taken a medication in her life. She was rarely if ever ill.  She ate cassava once per day most of her life.  She moved to New York City to be taken care of by my "well informed" family members.  She ate that junk from the grocery stores.  Drank that "healthy" juice and ate the bread, rice and potatoes and developed Type II Diabetes.  She then developed neuropathy in her foot and leg and according to her very well educated physician she required a leg amputation.  The shock of being administered medications for the first time in her life, prepped for the surgery and at her elderly age she succumbed not to the diabetes but to the surgical procedure itself.  She died on the operating table.  Thank you very much.

Did she deserve this? But it becomes obvious that the decision to perform surgery was not based on my Grandmother's needs but on some other agenda which does not place the patient as a priority.

If you do not want to die prematurely then you had better wise up.  I am going to give it to you straight.  Stop eating:
  1. Bread including whole grains, wheat and multi-grain
  2. Grains of all kinds including barley, rye, wheat and oats
  3. Breakfast cereals of any kind
  4. Do not fry your foods
  5. Never use cooking oils including corn oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, rapeseed oil, vegetable oil, etc.  Do use Coconut oil and red palm oil.
  6. Do not eat pasta, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes are fine, corn products, starchy foods are not.
  7. Do not consume carbonated beverages including sodas, carbonated water, caffinated drinks, artificial drinks, etc.
  8. I do not drink beer or wine because they add junk in them such as sulfates, aspartame, preservatives and stabilizers.  They are full of sugar and carbohydrates not to mention pesticides and fungicides.
  9. Never use diet drinks and foods that contain artificial sweeteners such as Aspartame. (keep in mind that the new trick is to not tell the consumer what is in the products).  If the manufacturer is not willing to prove to you what is in the product chances are it is not safe to consume. 
  10. Do not use low fat and non fat foods
  11. Another new trick is to proclaim a food to be natural because it is found in nature such as mercury, aluminum, apartame and others when actually these foods are just as destructive if not worse
  12. Most people have a hard time believing that companies, governments and advertisers have a vested interest in your demise.  But you must realize that there is a huge food / pharmaceutical / chemical / medical industry living from your sickness.  This is a reality we must face
  13. Do eat organic farm eggs.  Lots of eggs.  Dr. Wallach recommends at least 6 soft boiled eggs or poached eggs per day.
  14. Buy non-GMO foods.  If in doubt do not use it.  GMO foods are proving to be not as healthy as they were alleged to be.  Therefore, GMO foods should be avoided
  15. Avoid grocery stores and supermarket products.  The large stores and distributors are not your friends.
  16. Eat dry roasted organic nuts not fried nuts
  17. Do not eat fruits like apples, oranges, grapefruits, peaches, pears, pineapples and others.  These contain fructose.  If you have fructose malabsorption you can really become sick.  60% of the population  have this problem. 
  18. Do not drink fruit juices or drinks
  19. Stay away from foods that contain high fructose corn syrup or corn sugar
  20. Do not eat foods that are packaged or bottled in plastics.  These plastics are not only bad for you but they may contain BPA which gives men and boys breasts, makes them infertile and cause women and girls to have too much estrogen
  21. Do not eat food packed in boxes and cans or tins
  22. Do consume organic and wild small fruits such as berries and grapes.  An occasional organic banana is ok
  23. However, all strawberries are GMO unless they are wild or self grown
  24. Do not eat Kiwi
  25. You may eat organic meat or fish.  Do not eat grocery store food.  You must know the source of your foods and it must not be mass produced, or grown with hormones as many farm raised fish and meats are
  26. Do not use fluoride tooth paste or artificial flavorings, colours and fragrances
  27. Do not use deodorants that contain aluminum or titanium
  28. Have any mercury amalgam removed professionally from your teeth
  29. Do not eat sweets or crisps or chips or snack foods.  Do not chew chewing gum
  30. Do not smoke or chew Tobacco
  31. Do eat bone soup
  32. If you drink milk be aware that most cows are given growth hormones and antibiotics.  Worse still is that these hormones may be genetically altered.  The best is raw organic goat milk rather than cow's milk.  But if you must drink cow milk, drink whole milk.
  33. Eat fermented food like Kefir, Yogurt, Kambucha, Sauerkraut, Kim Chi.  You need foods with live cultures not dead food
  34. Avoid Nightshades
  35. Use Organic Coffee and Tea
  36. Grow and eat sprouted vegetables
  37. Do not put anything into your body that does not belong there
  38. Eat 3 cups of green and colorful organically grown vegetables per meal
  39. I repeat - Look for non-GMO, organically grown products not manufactured foods

My Kyani Results for 1 Month
  1. Sleep - I sleep like a baby since taking the Kyani products.  Not only the quality of sleep but I can sleep on command whenever I want.  You know how babies seem to sleep anywhere anytime.  This has meant that I do not mind waking up at night because I know I can just roll over and go right back to sleep.  And when I awake I feel completely rested,
  2. Potty Use - I used to have to go to the bathroom up to 10 times per night depending on how much water I drank just before going to bed.  This is partially because of blood pressure medicine and not sleeping well in the first place.  Now I may have to go one or two times per night.  And when I am done.  I am really done.
  3. Heart - I had started to have some pressure in my chest because of an enlarged heart and had some arrhythmia problems.   All that is gone.
  4. Erectile Dysfunction - I am back to my old self and can perform on command.  I am back to a more youthful response upon rising with excellent blood flow
  5. Typing - My touch typing has gotten much better with improved speed and accuracy.

  14. Shoulder Inflammation - There was atrophy in my right shoulder joint due to paralysis.  Movement has improved without pain.
  15. Walking / Running - Gait and speed as well as balance have returned with better coordination of small motor muscles such as the toes and calf extension.  The result is less limping and more spring in the step.
  16. Abductor Muscles - Right side Abductor Muscles have redeveloped allowing for more flexibility and less stumbling
